LESSONS
What has 2021 taught you or emphasized in your life?
Every year has its own challenges and breakthroughs which leaves us with experiences and lessons learned, and these are some of the major things that sunk into my life this year, from the various encounters I've had.
You can also share some of your great lessons this year at the comment section below.
1. Feeling ready or not, just do it. I had the thought of starting a blog in March this year but always felt like I'm not ready enough to start putting it out there. I used to blog and save it for myself so no one knew it existed until June, which was when started sharing my posts after listening to a certain episode of a podcast and asked myself "what's the worst that could happen?" And here we are, with various posts which probably wouldn't be possible if I continued waiting to feel ready enough.
Be brave, take risks. Nothing can substitute experience. - Paulo Coelho -
2. Everything takes time and progress.
At some point in the year I felt like I'm not achieving enough. It felt like time was moving and I was still not getting much done as I ought to at my age. But as much as we'd all like to wake up one day and have things going the way we want or expect to be somewhere at a certain age or time, it all takes time.
Take one step at a time!
3. Seeing a lesson in any negative or difficult time. Since everything works for our good, there's no experience meant to hurt or demotivate us. Everything we go through especially the tough paths are to shape us or turn us from a certain road that wasn't meant to be or that would not work out as we think or imagine.
4. Do you! We all have our own paths. This has been one of this year's emphasis in my life. What might work for someone else is not what will work or is meant for me. Despite the fact that we might be at the same stage or level with someone, it doesn't mean that things will work out at the same time or in the same kind for the both of us.
5. Give you time! To heal, to love yourself, to invest in you and many other great things you can do for you. I learnt the importance of considering me, my feelings and my peace because we often neglect ourselves while we focus on our goals or the important people in our lives and this really consumes us. It might seem selfish but at the end of the day, you are responsible for you.
WHAT'S YOUR LESSON?
